Galway-based folk Americana group, The Raines, have announced the eagerly awaited release of their debut album "Reverie," on Friday 24th March. The album showcases the band's deep connection, unique blend of musical styles and features a collection of captivating songs.
The Raines, comprised of Ruth Dillon, Yvonne Tiernan and Juliana Erkkonen have been making waves in the music scene with their last five singles going to No.1 in the iTunes charts.
In anticipation of the album release, Ruth Dillon said “My warmest feeling about working on ‘Reverie’ is the beautiful musical union and friendship built between myself, Yvonne and Juliana. We worked hard to bring an album that is full of connection, textured and melodic but that would also honour our own individual voices and styles.”
Yvonne Tiernan said “Holding our album 'Reverie' in my hands is very meaningful as it has been a lifetime in the making for me personally having worked in the music industry since I was 17. It’s a joy to be part of a band that works so well together and to have created this collection of music we love is enough.”
And Juliana Erkkonen said “It has been a such a rewarding experience for me recording this album as I composed and recorded all my violin/strings and vocals in my own studio which I have been developing over the last few years. I am incredibly proud of how it turned out".
"Reverie" is set to be a standout album in the folk Americana genre, a reflection of female sensitivity, intuition, sincerity and inspiration and showcases the distinct musical style and skill of The Raines.
The album will be available on all major digital platforms on
Friday 24th March and
from selected retailers nationwide.
The Raines will be performing a special launch of their album in ‘The Sea Church Ballycotton’, Cork on 24th March, tickets available here, Forest Fest 22nd July, Clifden Arts Festival 21st September with more dates as part of the nationwide ‘Reverie’ tour announced soon.
